MEDIATION SERVICES
What is Mediation? Mediation is an informal and flexible dispute resolution process for any type of matter involving two or more parties. The Mediator’s role is to serve as a neutral participant facilitating a respectful and dignified negotiation process and guiding the parties toward their own resolution. Mediation avoids the time, expense, and delays of litigation. It is aimed at outcomes that satisfy the needs of both parties as opposed to court judgments which tend to leave one party a winner and the other the loser. Finally, mediation, with a skilled mediator, can serve to preserve the valuable relationship of the parties which is often a desire, particularly in commercial and family matters.
As a mediator, Anastasia draws upon her proficiency in negotiation and litigation. In order to reach a mutually agreeable, un-regrettable, and straightforward resolution, she actively listens to all parties, prepares them for the process, focuses on their personal desires, and asks questions essential to leading a productive dialogue, negotiation, or mediation.
The types of conflicts we mediate include but are not limited to:
- Commercial Transactions including Contract and Debtor/Creditor disputes
Settlement Negotiation
- Business Succession and Management Disputes
- Marital and Domestic Partner Disputes
- Bioethical Healthcare, Eldercare and Family Conflicts
- Workplace Conflict
